![]() Hit up the hot shots of Hot Wheels Velocity X below and keep an eye out for more in the next few weeks. Unfortunately, we don't have word yet whether the Battle Mode of the console games or Link Play multiplayer has made this version, but we should have a playable version of the game in the office soon. It also looks to be that Saffire has kept the weapon attacks and power-ups of the console game - we'll have to see once we get our hands on the game how they've been able to make attacks work for the more narrow courses of the GBA game. Saffire is doing the development on the GBA version - which is quite different in design and engine from the first GBA Hot Wheels game from a while back - and has apparently kept intact the "mission" structure of a story going throughout the racing as in the console games. While the next-gen versions present the Hot Wheels cars in a futuristic somewhere. There's also more than 30 cars from the 2002 Hot Wheels car line, and features an extensive database of stats and details on each car in the game for the true Hot Wheels fans. Hot Wheels Velocity X (also known as Hot Wheels Velocity X: Maximum Justice in the PlayStation 2 version) is a racingvideo game released in 2002 by Beyond Games. The one thing that I dislike is that PC version has no joystick support. Along with the console versions, THQ will be releasing Hot Wheels Velocity X for the Game Boy Advance next month.
